Would it really be considered "suspect" or "suspicious" when he never denied the allegations in question? Presume everyone in the station had a meeting; an emergency meeting if you will. Would him simply not interjecting imply he's indeed "sus"?

The station in question has various jobs, I'm certain a chef is one of them. My client only has a knife, but there has been no evidence it's been used to kill; let alone a motive. To imply that my client has done something without even an implied motive is nothing less of what a monster would do- an imposter no less.

In short, he is not "sus", and I rest my case.
